Tarri Poha
This zine explores Tarri Poha, the spiciest and most beloved breakfast dish from Nagpur, India. Through a humorous and pun-filled approach, I introduced readers to the different types of people who sell and eat Tarri Poha, celebrating the culture around this iconic street food. Tarri Poha is a simple yet hearty combination of Kanda Poha (flattened rice with onions) topped with a bold, spicy black chana (chickpea) gravy known as Tarri. Beyond being a flavourful breakfast, it’s a wholesome dish that fuels you for the entire day. The project blends humour, storytelling, and visual design to make local food culture accessible and engaging.
